Atlas: the all-in-one workspace that replaces four tools

Why we built Atlas to replace Slack, Asana, HubSpot and QuickBooks for service businesses — and what we kept, what we cut.

The pitch for Atlas is simple: most service businesses run on four tools that don't talk to each other. Slack for chat, Asana for tasks, HubSpot for CRM, QuickBooks for finance. Each one is a separate database with a separate login and a separate bill.

We asked: what if those four databases were the same database?

What Atlas actually is

Atlas is a single workspace where projects, channels, tasks and finance live in the same record layer. When you create a project, the chat channel, the task board and the budget for that project are created with it. When you close a task, the time logged flows into the invoice. When a client pays, the deal in the CRM closes automatically.

Three layers, intentionally:

  1. Projects, tasks and boards per team. Same model as any project tool. The difference is that every record is connected to a client and a budget from day one.
  2. Channels, DMs and workspaces. Full chat, with the twist that channels can be tied to projects or clients. The conversation and the work live next to each other.
  3. Billing, finance and live reports. Invoicing tied to projects, expenses tied to clients, P&L by team. No double entry.

What we cut

To make this work, we had to cut things people expect:

  • No per-app marketplace of integrations. Atlas integrates with the tools we run ourselves (Orion, Smart Dashboard, GO Zois) and a small set of well-known external services. If you need a niche integration, the API is there.
  • No infinite customization of views. You get one good Kanban view per project. We resisted the temptation to ship a config UI.
  • No "lite" mode. Atlas is not for solo freelancers. It is for teams of 5–50 that have outgrown the spreadsheet.

Atlas Assistant

The newest layer is Atlas Assistant, an AI agent that has full context of your projects, clients and finances. You can ask "what did we spend on legal in Q1?" or "draft a status update for client X" and it will answer from the actual data — not from a generic LLM hallucination.

We were deliberate about not making Atlas Assistant another chat box. It works where you already are: in the project, in the client record, in the report.

Pricing and access

Atlas is available at atlas.zois.solutions and ships included with every Zois engagement. Standalone access for firms not using the rest of the stack is in private beta — request access.
